It's raining today. This is a big deal for people in San Diego. However, Gilligan doesn't know what to make of this phenomenon. Since this rarely happens, he is very confused. Does he stay out in the rain? Or does he come inside and deal with the other cats he hates? This is very troubling for Gilligan, so I shut him inside. The other people in my family (who don't love Gilligan as much as I do) get fed up very easily and let Gilligan back outside.
Gilligan isn't used to being inside and so he doesn't know what to do when he is stuck in here. I was trying to practice my guitar and Gilligan came up and sat on the case. So I told him to move and he just sat there and looked at me. I pushed him off my case and got my instrument out. Then he came back, got back on top of the case and started meowing at me. Needless to say I was getting quite annoyed. I enjoy Gilligan when he is inside and sleeping becuase he is purry and sweet. But when the other cats try to interact with him, he gets growly and angry.
I was trying to cuddle with Gilligan the other day. It was nice. He was all lovey and happy. But then he saw Romeo and his attitude made a complete switch. It was kinda bad. Then he started knocking things over and climbing places he shouldn't. I mean, that's my boy and I love him, but at the same time he is very annoying. I guess every parent has to go through that. Well, I don't really know any parents who look at their child and says "Dear God, you are ANNOYING".

My Precious
I know I haven't blogged in awhile. I've been a little busy...Including taking my love Gilligan to get senior pictures done. Yes, I took my cat with me. Turns out they don't get many cats...Anyways, he freaked. I felt really bad because he was shaking the whole time. But it was so worth it. We got one or two REALLY cute pictures. Now, not only do I have pictures, I have professional pictures! So we should both look really good.
But Gilligan is a baaaaad cat. So yesterday I got my ear pierced. It hurt pretty bad. Gilligan takes it as a sign to try and wrestle my face. Dumb cat...That hurt. He tried to bite my face off. He really did. But he is soooooo cute! I mean, even though it hurt like a bee-otch, he was really cute when he did it. He was purring and his nose was all pink and stuff. You can't really be mad when your cat is that cute.
Also, I have quit sounding like Gollum. I don't really call Gilligan "The Precious..." any more. I have been calling him "My Love" lately...Which is strange. I am not sure why I think that is strange, but it kinda is.
Gilligan is sleeping in my bed right now. We were watching baseball. Stupid Padres...I forget who was pitching. All I know is that my love Mat Latos pitched yesterday. We watched that too. Gilligan is good to watch tv with because he doesn't really talk all that much. But what he does do I think is worse. He gets in front of the tv and sits down. Blocks the whole screen. Then I yell at him and he starts meowing, but he doesn't move. So then I shout "Gilligan! Mat Latos is pitching" (or something like that) and he still doesn't move. I have to get up and physically move him. So annoying.
I was flea combing Gilligan today. I got like...3 or 4 fleas off of him. Which is good because that means that those fleas are not in my bed. There might be fleas in my bed because Gilligan sleeps there all the time. I hope not. Fleas suck. I mean REALLY suck. I flea combed the other cats too. There were a lot of fleas. I think I need to give them flea medicine.
Hayward was the only cat that didn't have any fleas. I thought that was weird. Hayward is a pretty big cat. Bigger than Gilligan. Then again, Gilligan is an out door cat and Hayward is not. But Sambo and Romeo had fleas too and they are not out door cats. This is an enigma. I guess I just give them the medicine and that solves it. Maybe Hayward doesn't have fleas because he doesnt bother Gilligan like the other cats. Sambo and Romeo are always up in Gilligans business. Hmm...Logical.
Anyway, that's it from the wonderful world of Gilligan.

Bedtime
So, everynight I try to get Gilligan to go to bed with me. He likes to cuddle...most of the time. The other night I was getting into bed and he was there, so I reached over to pet him. Being cute, he rolled over onto his back. No one can resist rubbing a cats belly. And that's what I did. Obviously Gilli took this as some kind of attack and curled up around my hand. The more I tried to free myself, the harder he bit down. Now I have cuts all up and down my arm and when people ask how I got them, I have to explain that my cat thought we were "playing"...
dont you see the fire in those eyes?
And then when Gilligan is being evil, I try to play with the other cats. Like Hayward. This is what i get...
It is not easy being a cat owner. Especially after Gilligan leaves. Romeo is OBSSESSED with getting into my room. It's like trying to keep a fat kid away from cotton candy -- IMPOSSIBLE. Every chance he gets, he will dive through the tiniest crack in my door. Then he clings to the floor so when you try to drag him out, IT ISNT GONNA HAPPEN. Kind of like this...
Then while I'm wrestling him, Sambo gets in. And he goes under the bed. So once i get Romeo out, I'm still stuck with another cat that isnt Gilligan. And besides that, Sambo is black. I can never find him. Once I think i have a grip on him, he goes farther into the abyss. Since when did my room become a playground?!?! I sit there with my head under my bed, looking for that stupid cat, and this is all I see...
Sometimes, I think it's easier to just not go to bed.

My Gilligan
So I have a cat. Most people who have a cat like that cat. I REALLY like my cat. I dont know where to start with the things that Gilligan has done, but let me assure you that there is no dull moment in any story of mine.
Like this morning for instance. There was Gilligan, waiting for me when I got up. He usually sleeps in me bed, but wakes me up around 6am to be let out. I try to ignore him, but he is very persistent. He will find some way to get my attention. Like playing with the little knick-knacks around my room. He thinks its fun to knock them off my desk or dresser...onto my head. It's at that point that I figure it's time for him to leave.
I realize that he should probably be an only cat. But he's not. He's forced to share the house with 3 other Cats.
Romeo. Sambo. Hayward.
They torment Poor little Gilligan. He growls and hisses and swipes at them. (sometimes he swipes at me too, but that's okay because it's Gilligan). These cats think it's fun to mess with my cat.
None of them like Gilligan.
My friends dont really like Gilligan either. They think he's just a cat (granted he is a feline, but is treated as much more). They think that my "obssession" with my cat is something to make fun of. So they do things like this.
And this.
And this.
Catch my drift? Anyway...Gilli is just an innocent little kitty...
